Finding the right early childhood environment is one of the most important decisions you'll make for your child. At Tilden Little House, we believe in the power of partnership between home and school. Our admissions process is designed to help us discover whether we're the right fit for each other—because we're not just enrolling students, we're building a community of like-minded families who share our Montessori values.

  • Email us to Schedule your tour to experience Tilden Little House during school hours. Observe our prepared Montessori classrooms in action, meet our dedicated teachers, and see how children engage in self-directed learning and hands-on exploration. Tours allow you to witness the independence, concentration, and joy that define our program—and to feel whether our community resonates with your family's values.

  • Complete our application form, when you feel we might be a good match.

Applications are accepted each year in February. Enrollment is determined on a first-come, first-served basis, while thoughtfully maintaining classroom balance in terms of gender, age diversity, and individual learning needs.

  • After we receive your completed application, we'll invite your child for a playdate visit with our Montessori teachers. This relaxed, observational session helps both of us determine if Little House is the right home for your child. We'll:

    • Observe how your child interacts with our materials and environment

    • Get to know your child's unique developmental needs and interests

    • Explore together whether our program aligns with your family's values and educational philosophy

This is a mutual discovery process—we want you to feel confident in choosing us, just as we want to ensure we can fully support your child's growth.

  • Within two weeks of your child's playdate, we will send you a letter of admission.

Upon acceptance, please submit your enrollment contract and a non-refundable deposit to secure your child's spot.

“The goal of early childhood education should be to activate the child’s own natural desire to learn.”
